Bolton signs teenage striker Eaves

08/12/2010 - Bolton, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Bolton signed 18-year-old striker Tom Eaves from Oldham Athletic to a three-year deal on Thursday.

Eaves, who is 6-foot-4, joins Bolton two weeks after scoring a hat trick in a friendly against the Premier League club.

"We're delighted to have him and we'll look to gradually take step upon step with him, to such a time where he is ready to challenge for a first-team place," Bolton coach Owen Coyle said.

"The fact he played in that preseason game and did very well against us just cemented what we already knew about him, and that is that he is a young player with great potential making his way in the game."

Evans is the fifth signing this offseason for Bolton, joining Marcos Alonso, Robbie Blake, Ivan Klasnic and Martin Petrov.
